"Stop!"

"I'm coming for you!"

"No! Get away!" Ling screamed and laughed as I chased after her. My blades made clashing noises on the ice as I came up behind her. Ling let out a loud scream as I held her hips up in the air, lifting her off of the arena floor.

"Le'go!" she laughed loudly as I struggled to keep us in the air. Ling turned in my grip to face me as we made another lap around the oval, wrapping her legs around my hips and arms over my neck.
The cold air of the ice skating ring made our breath appear as mist as the slow love songs played through the loud speakers. it was my first time skating but this trick made me think I was a natural at it.

"Oi! Cut that out!" screamed one of the employees at us. I came to a gradual stop and Ling apologised, trying to get down. I gave her a long kiss before allowing her to leave my grasp.
The holiday had to eventually come to an end and everyone was required to retreat back home. Jackie and Jason couldn't catch the same flight as us and so volunteered to stay back a day for the next flight. Unfortunately the hurricane season was picking up and all flights were cancelled for a very long time, though I hadn't heard anything about it in the news. She was happy with Jason, telling me that despite what had happened she was going to take it slow. Ling and I found our way back home alright. Christmas arrived and then left just as abruptly, and it would soon be time to get back into study. We were making the most of what time we had.

"You're such a crappy skater!" I teased as we walked into the locker room to retrieve our normal, non-skating shoes.

"So what? You're crappy at chess!"

"Whatever, I rule at chess!" We laughed loudly and Ling fell forward, rolling her ankle in the awkward skates. I caught her just in time and we fell to the floor, knocking our shoes off. As my shoes bounced on the floor a note wafted out. "Hang on" I stated reaching over to the letter.

Ling gasped. "It's a love letter!"

"Doubt it" I remarked upon reading the letter and turning it around for Ling to see.
